PROJECT WNCP 1 -

MUMBAI SUBURBAN DISTRICT

RDF was privileged to support 35 girls’ survivors of human trafficking living in a private run rehabilitation and skill development centre in Borivali, Mumbai Suburban District. Material assistance is intended to give victims the means of subsistence because many victims, once out of the traffickers’ hands, are totally without material resources.

EDUCATIONAL SUPPORT – Survivors staying at this home are studying through the NIOS program (10th & 12th Standard) alongside doing 18 months skill development program. We provided them good quality sanitary napkins. As many as ⅔ of low-income people who menstruate struggle to afford period products like tampons and sanitary napkins, and these products are some of the most-needed items in shelters homes. We also provided them with school notebooks, stationery and good quality bathing soaps.

Doing the right thing,
at the right time.
